  Historic church that has been around since when Texas became a state makes it one of the oldest churches in t.he Lone Star State. Pastor Billy Bob Cox is an institution in and of himself. Quality conservative expositional service with traditional music and friendly fellowship. There's even a youth pastor who has a special lesson planned for the kids, so it's a great place to bring your whole family. The adjacent Family Life Center is a modern facility that really makes this church stand out.
  
  The congregation is a 'come as you are' group who seem very welcoming to newcomers. They made us feel like family right away. Coffee and donuts are served an hour before service if you want to join their Bible study open to all. Their youth pastor takes care of the kids if you want to join the study.
